Cars Toon: Mater's Tall Tales Game for Wii Fun Challenges for the Whole Family

Mater from Disney Pixar 'Cars' Takes Us Through a Maze of Games in this new Wii Game

My kids enjoyed the movie "Cars" but I had no idea they really loved the TV show, "Mater's Tall Tales". In the game, Mater recalls stories from his past and we help the young Mater race to the scene of a fire, put the fire out, and more. That's just one adventure.

The music and graphics are great. Just like designing a Mii, you get to design the car that is YOU. And the games, well, even The Mister found them challenging enough to keep him playing with us!

Check out more of Mater

Cars Toon: Mater's Tall Tales would be a great holiday gift for any kid (and their parents). With 30 games that test a variety of skills, The Twofer have already played the game for several hours (no, not all at once) and are still excited to see what they can unlock next. You can see more of the game here: www.disney.com/carsvideogames

What other games have you played that use Disney characters?

_____________________________________________________

What Green Products Would You Buy with $50?

What eco-friendly products would you buy if you had $50 to spend? Would you invest in quality, chemical-free lunch containers? Would you surprise your child with a super cool (and calming) Buddha Board? Or would you grab a mini crank lantern to use when the power goes out?

Lavish & Lime Offers Eco-Friendly Products Approved by a Review Panel

Lavish & Lime was started by a husband and wife who knew there were eco-friendly products out there, they just were not readily available in Canada. In 2007 they launched their company, and a panel of expert reviewers to find quality, eco-friendly products that are natural, non-toxic, and made in Canada.

I was given the opportunity to shop and review Lavish & Lime so that I could share the experience with you. I chose items that I had been considering for some time.

Natural soap-making kit for The Twofer

Natural soap kit and Lavish & Lime packaging

Notice the professional tissue-wrapped product packaging

Reusable produce bags

Reusable cloth produce bags size small and large

Yay! No more plastic produce bags! And the small bag is the one holding 2 heads of broccoli.

Reusable snack bags

Reusable snack and sandwich bags with Velcro closure

These are large enough to fit a sandwich or a ziplock baggie full of chips!

What would you buy?

Be sure to follow @Lavishandlime on Twitter and Like them on Facebook!

Enter to win $50.00 Lavish & Lime Shopping Spree!

Here's how to enter:

Who is the MasterMind in your Family?

Photobucket

MasterMind is one of those games that kept my brother and I entertained as we were visiting my grandparents in Vermont. If we weren't skiing, or hiking, we were playing MasterMind.

MasterMind Requires Problem Solving Skills

If you have never played before, the object of the game is to break the color code. The Codebreaker has about 20 chances to figure it out using clues given by the Codemaker. What I realize, having young kids, is that problem solving skills take some time to develop. How cool that Pressman Toys realized this too and developed a new, verticle version of MasterMind for younger kids that use pictures instead of just colors.

Vertical MasterMind for Kids

What better way to learn about codes and using clues to problem solve than with a game! Animal MasterMind Towers challenges kids to guess the order in which their opponent has place animal tiles. The Twofer have really enjoyed playing this together and it's so cute to hear them saying, "Is your elephant above your sheep?". Just a fun twist on a classic game.

Photobucket

MasterMind Towers also come in SpongeBob SquarePants, Disney Fairies, and Looney Toons characters as well!.  For more information check out the MasterMind website and the MasterMind Facebook page.

Did you ever play MasterMind? What other childhood games kept you busy?
