Review - FedEx Office has great ideas for Out of the Office

My friends at Mom Central told me that FedEx Office has a new blog to bring creative talents “Out of Office” and share them with their fans. FedEx Office has so many things to help with unique projects for home or work that I would never have known were it not for the blog!

Placemat project at FedEx Out of Office Blog

For instance, the Out of Office blog has great ideas to use up leftover holiday wrapping paper, fun gift ideas, and helpful tips to save money. By the way, did you know FedEx Ground is often cheaper than UPS Ground? They have interesting ideas for events, projects to do with kids, and easy do-it-yourself things for around the home.

Be sure to check out the FedEx Office blog, Out of Office and let me know what you think!

SOAR! Scholarship will change the lives of 3 women

Just this past weekend we went to visit the Udvar-Hazy portion of the National Air and Space Museum and my girls immediately started looking for something about Amelia Earhart. I'm so proud that at just six, they are tapped into the women who lead the way.

Today I learned about a new scholarship program from photographer Me Ra Koh called SOAR! On January 1st SOAR! will announce the 3 women whose lives will change as their photography business grows over the next 12 months. These three lucky women will receive camera gear from Sony, beautiful websites and blogs from SmugMug, designed by Chopping Block. They will also receive software from Adobe, ShootQ, and SHOWIT that will make their life easier. The recipients will be mentored by industry leaders as well as Me Ra Koh’s business coaches from Wisdom Connection.

The best part? We get to watch the transformation because the winners will be required to document their year long journey on the SOAR! website through blog posts, videos, images, teleconferences and more.

I'm definitely going to stay tuned in to this project!

Have you ever dreamed of owning your own business or starting something new but just couldn't find or even imagine the funds to start?

I would love to hear about it...maybe someone is looking to offer a scholarship!
