Eucerin Swag Bag Giveaway! (winner update 9/16/10)

**WINNERS**  Congrats to Sharon & AmberG!

Well hello giveaway lovers. I've cut back on hosting giveaways because they can be lots of work but this is one of those brands I couldn't say no to.

Eucerin has been in my home and on my family for years and I'm a big fan. Here's why:

My mom is a nurse and always recommended Eucerin

The Twofer both have sensitive skin (as do I) and Eucerin Calming Creme helps cure dry, itchy, sensitive skin.

Since becoming a mom my hands get terribly dry - I believe from all the hand-washing I do and Eucerin Intensive Repair Hand Creme really helps.

Recently my dermatologist gave me a mini sample of the Eucerin Everyday Protection Face Lotion, SPF 30 and I LOVED it!

A friend of mine has a daughter with tons of allergies and she told me Eucerin is one of the only lotions that she can use.

Learn more about your skin and Eucerin & Enter to Win the Swag

Then visit the Eucerin Facebook page where you can get a FREE SAMPLE of Eucerin. Last, but certainly not least, take the Eucerin Skin First Pledge to make your skin a priority. Review: it's a tall order, but can Healthy Choice keep me sane?

I don't diet.

I like food. I like to eat. I get really cranky and irrational silly if I don't get to eat. (Just ask my mom about the time I freaked out while shopping for my wedding dress. It had nothing to do with the stress of shopping but it had everything to do with her lack of mothering skills and thus the lack of a simple granola bar for the BRIDE to help take the edge off hunger pains). Lesson learned.

It's a good thing Healthy Choice found me.

I work outside of my home a few days a week and these are my choices within walking distance: McDonald's, Jerry's Subs, Pizza Hut, a Chinese restuarant and a Salvadoran restaurant. None of these offer great low-cal choices. Plus, when I AM good (steamed chicken and broccoli no sauce, brown rice) it starts to get expensive. So what usually happends is I wait, and wait, and wait until I'm completely losing my mind from hunger and ripping of people's heads to eat!

Enter Healthy Choice. Thanks to the folks at H.C. for supplying me with a few frozen samples and some coupons so I can stock these at work and avoid turning into Mrs. Hyde.

Here's one I recently tried:

Healthy Choice entree just 250 calories

What I like about Healthy Choice

1. Selection - check out this dizzying selection, and note there is a new line of Cafe Steamers that come in their own microwavable DuoTray Steamcooker.

2. Nutrition - Healthy Choice entrees have a balance of whole grains, fiber, protein, and antioxidants. They are low in fat and saturated fat, have a controlled amount of sodium, and contain no preservatives. I sat in on a Healthy Choice sponsored conference call last year and I remembered learning that Healthy Choice is the ONLY brand that can call 100% of it's products 'healthy' as defined by the FDA.

3. Cost - Healthy Choice entrees have a suggested retail price from $2.00 to $3.29. Can't beat that!

What I'm not crazy about with Healthy Choice

I actually left this out above but it's my blog so I can put it here, I really like the taste of Healthy Choice. My only issue is that many of the entrees leave me hungry. I always have to supplement these with a side salad, piece of fruit, and a chocolate chip cookie cup of tea with exactly one tablespoon of honey.

Have you tried Healthy Choice lately?

Disclosure: I received Healthy Choice samples and coupons to use to review the product at no cost. Opinions expressed here are mine and were not reviewed nor approved by Healthy Choice prior to posting.

Giveaway: $25 SUBWAY Gift Cards for Fresh Fit Footlongs

UPDATE - Winners of the $25 gift cards are Sarah and Ashley! Congratulations! ___________________________________________________________

Question: Do you consider SUBWAY fast food?

For me, they have done a really good job of branding themselves as a much healthier alternative to what I consider 'standard' fastfood like McDonald's, Burger King, even Chick-Fil-A.

On our regular trips up the NJTPKE (New Jersey Turnpike for you West Coasties) we SEEK out signs and exits with SUBWAY because we know we eat better there, we make better choices, and we feel better for the rest of the trip.

How did SUBWAY get me to think differently about them?

First, they offer fresh veggies, wheat bread, and they make the food right in front of you.

Then I got to interview Jared Fogle and Laila Ali at a SUBWAY event that showed kids things they can do to stay active and a program they developed for schools and rec centers to spread the word about making healthy choices.

Other Fresh Fit moves by SUBWAY

Did you know...

SUBWAY Fresh Fit is on Twitter?

SUBWAY has a very active Fan page on Facebook?

SUBWAY teamed with Biggest Loser to create a mix of workout music?

SUBWAY has a very cool Fresh Fit meal builder on their website?

Win a $25 SUBWAY gift card to try out their Fresh Fit meals!

TwoferMom has TWO $25 gift cards to giveaway to 2 of my fabulous readers to help you with your 2010 fitness goals. If you HAVE to eat 'fast food' this gift card will make it easy for you to stick to healthy choices...even if it's a footlong! Here's how to enter, each one is an entry and you must leave a comment with a link when possible to verify.

1. Leave me a comment which Fresh Fit sub you want to try

2. Become a fan of SUBWAY on Facebook ( and post something like this on your wall "I entered to win a $25 gift card to @Subway on"

3. Follow SUBWAY on Twitter ( and send a tweet like this: "@Twincident I hope I win the $25 to @Subwayfreshbuzz on!"

4. Subscribe to TwoferMom's RSS feed via email or in a reader

A grape SEED Review & Twitter party today at 2:00pm

SEED products are natural, and feel really good

It turns out that grape seeds are pretty powerful things. They can make your skin feel better. They can make your hair feel soft. And they can do this while being green. Take for example Graine de Vie's new SEED body care products. The lotion I've been sampling not only smells good, but doesn't leave a greasy feeling on my hands. And I use less lotion (I'm addicted to lotion in the winter) because the SEED lotion seems to work better.

Tonight I got to try the SEED body bar and shampoo bar. Wha, wha, what? Yes, a bar of shampoo that lathered up really well and cleaned my hair nicely too.  I even used it on the Twofer and I noticed a little goes a long way. I still had to use conditioner to get out the tangles, but I see this tiny 1.5 oz sample shampoo bar lasting, and lasting, and lasting. Plus, SEED products come unscented (great for kids and dads) and a yummy citrus lime (perfect for us ladies).

Shampoo bar comes in unscented and citrus thyme

The SEED story is one we moms can understand

Here's the story of Rebecca and Benjamin, the founders of Graine de Vie and SEED, in MY OWN words (I hope they are ok with that).  One day Rebecca and Benjamin decided to have a baby. Like many of us, bringing a child into this world meant that Rebecca and Benjamin started to think about all the terrible toxins we are exposed to every day. They started to think about the food they ate, the products they used to clean their home, and then the products they put on their body. They realized they didn't like what they were reading. So Rebecca and Benjamin decided to make a line of products that were natural, beneficial, and sustainable.

Want to learn more? Join us today for a Twitter chat about natural products and SEED

I'm participating in the Twitter chat today at 2:00pm (EST) with Grain de Vie and SEED founder Rebecca G., as are a number of other people who have had the opportunity to sample SEED products! We'll be talking about natural products, what motivates us to try and buy them, and our experiences with SEED.

Go here to RSVP with my friend and host ResourcefulMom.

Be sure to follow @SeedPower, @ResourcefulMom, and use #seedbodycare as the hastag! And let me know you'll be there so we can chat together! I'm @twincident on Twitter.

See you there!
