Disney Hospitality for Every Prince, Princess and Bride

Having just returned from the amazing Disney Social Media Moms Celebration I am reminded of why I became an easy fan of Disney. One word: hospitality

Disney does hospitality like know other

who else offers pint-sized fancy furniture?

I've stayed in some truly amazing, award-winning (even 5-star) hotels in my life including
Mena House Oberoi
Mount Kenya safari club
Intercontinental Sydney

The service in these places is impeccable for sure, but hospitality is different than service.
According to the dictionary app on my iPad, hospitality means,

"the friendly reception and treatment of guests and others."

The key word for me is friendly.

Everyone is friendly at Disney.

The woman at the first night's dinner who remembered my family from last year's event welcomed me back.

The staff who help with crowd control at the rides, monorail, and those directing us to our special events all had smiles and seemed genuinely happy to, well, make it easier for us to get around!

The housekeeping people who cheerfully extended our check out time to 1:00 pm so we could enjoy the last morning at the parks.

Every single Disney employee that referred to the girls as, "Princess" which they questioned, but secretly LOVED.

The bell hop who hand-wrote our Magical Express bus passes so we could quickly hop on the waiting bus did so without the slightest hesitation.

It has me thinking more and more about the couple we met who got married at Disney and returned to renew their vows. And I totally get it.

Wedded bliss at Disney

One event we attended as part of this conference was held at the Wedding Pavillion at the Grand Floridian.

Disney Wedding Pavilion at Grand Floridian

We saw first-hand how beautiful the space is. We got a peek at the new line of Disney wedding dresses from designer Alfred Angelo. And we got to hear more about Disney couture weddings from wedding expert, David Tutera from the show, 'My Fair Wedding'.

Having planned my own wedding, I know the amount of details that goes intoevdnt the smallest piece. Having now been exposed to the Disney level of excellence in all things including hospitality, I only wish there had been a Disney wedding option in Baltimore in 1998. You just know a Disney wedding would go off without a hitch, and more importantly for the bride, without a headache.

Plus, who wouldn't want to drive off in the sunset with their new husband in this?

I'm working on getting at least one friend to marry at Disney... Hint hint.

Disclosure: I received a discounted stay at the Grand Floridian as well as free park tickets, some meals, entertainment, and a bag of goodies through my participation in the Disney Social Media Moms conference. All opinions expressed here are my own and this post was neither reviewed nor approved prior to being published. We loved Disney before this conference and have had many magical moments on our own trips.

Disney Tangled Review and Another Fun Giveaway (Update 12/14)

UPDATE: Winner is Lindsay / @middymorsel Congratulations!!

In Disney's new movie 'Tangled' Rapunzel's hair isn't the only thing that's messy.

Last weekend the Twofer and I were able to see a preview of the new Disney movie, 'Tangled' in 3D. We all know the story of Rapunzel and her being trapped in a tower with really, really, really long hair.

What I didn't know (and maybe this is the Disney effect) was the co-depent relationship she had with her mother - or really the woman she thinks is her mother but is really her captor. You see Rapunzel was stolen at birth by an old witch who wanted to remain young forever. Whenever the witch comes in contact with Rapunzel's hair, she gets a boost from a youth serum. Thus, Rapunzel is NEVER allowed outside of the tower for it's "Too Dangerous".

It take Rapunzel 18 long years to rebel and sneak outside when an outlaw, Flynn Rider, shows up at the tower and her 'mother' leaves on a 3-day trip.

Rapunzel makes us laugh with all of her firsts

From the very first time she smacks Flynn Rider with a frying pan to the first time her toes touch the grass, we giggle and smile as Rapunzel takes in the world around her. Flynn tried to get her to chance her mind about their 'deal' but Rapunzel, we learn has found her voice and is now very determined, smart and brave.

Enter to Win a Magical Glow Rapunzel Doll!

The Nintendo DC Stylus Becomes a Wand in Wizards of Waverly Place Spellbound Game

image via Disney on Photobucket

Every Wizard Needs a Wand

Both girls love the show, 'Wizards of Waverly Place' on the Disney Channel and now with the new Wizards of Waverly Place Spellbound for the Nintendo DS they can feel like a part of it. In this game the stylus becomes a wand where you cast spells, move and freeze objects, even turn characters into hamsters! Use magic to complete wizarding tasks and unlock outfits for Alex. Em will love dressing Alex in over 25 outfits, and El will enjoy exploring the different locations from the TV show like the Sub Station and the Loft.

The game is rated E for Everyone so it's safe for young kids and retails for $29.99 so it won't break the bank.

What other Disney show DS games do your kids enjoy?

Disclosure: I received a copy of this DS game for the purposes of a review. All opinions are my own and this post was neither reviewed nor approved prior to being published.

Disney 'Tangled' Giveaway

Every mother of a little girl can relate to the title of Disney's newest movie, 'Tangled'

(UPDATE: The winner of the t-shirts and silly bandz is.. Lori! Congrats!)

Whatever you call it....

Messy

Knotty

Bed Head

Bird's Nest

Hair Game

or 'Tangled', we've all had our fair share of hair nightmares.

So I love the fact that Disney picked up on that and when remaking the classic tale of Rapunzel, opted for a very modern title. Disney knows the people getting those little girls to see the movie are, infact, the ones also brushing out the tangles.

'Tangled' hits theaters Wednesday, November 24th in 3D!

I recently reviewed Rapunzel's 'Tangled' diary (such a cute idea) and so our family of girls is already very excited to see this movie. This will be a perfect Thanksgiving break treat! Here's a brief synopsis of the movie 'Tangled':

When the kingdom’s most wanted—and most charming—bandit Flynn Rider (voice of Zachary Levi) is taken hostage by Rapunzel (voice of Mandy Moore), a feisty teen with 70 feet of golden hair who’s looking for her ticket out of the tower where she’s been locked away for years, the unlikely duo sets off on a hilarious, hair-raising escapade filled with adventure, heart, humor and hair—lots of hair.
