How do you cover your windows?
Window treatments, window coverings, blinds, shades, shutters....whatever you call it, choosing how to cover windows is no easy task. Which is why I was grateful for the opportunity to work with Next Day Blinds and one of their local in-home design consultants to choose something to cover the Twofers' windows.
Step one in choosing blinds is to narrow your choices
Next Day Blinds designer, Leslie, was incredibly helpful and explains here how she starts the process with a customer. By the way, Next Day Blinds offers in-home consultation FREE as part of their service!
As you can see, Leslie knows her windows. You will see in a future post how she saved my do-it-yourself window catastrophe and gave me a do-over that not only looks much better, it's functional and safe for the girls to be around.
Enter to win $200 to spend with Next Day Blinds!
Yearning for your own window do-over? Next Day Blinds has generously offered one TwoferMom.com reader the chance to win $200 to spend on any window covering they offer! Plus, if you live in the DC area, you too can have a designer visit your home before you order so that you don't get overwhelmed by all the choices in styles, fabrics, colors, etc.
How to enter:
You can do one or all of these for a chance to win but be sure to leave a separate comment for each and a link to a post when possible.
1. Visit the Next Day Blinds website, browse around just a bit, and leave a comment telling me which room in your home needs new window treatments and which type (blinds, shades, etc) from Next Day Blinds you are considering.
2. "LIKE" and leave a comment on the YouTube video in this post (come back and tell me your YouTube username in a comment)
3. Post the following (or something similar) on Twitter (can do once a day) and grab the URL for that tweet and leave it in a comment: " I just entered to win $200 for Next Day Blinds from @Twincident http://bit.ly/NDB200 " Hint: to get the URL for a particular twitter post simply click on the timestamp (2 minutes ago..) to launch it then copy the URL from the browser.
4. Subscribe to my RSS feed and add my button to your blog (again, leave URL so I can see it)
5. Share the love... Post and link to this giveaway on your own blog so that your readers might enjoy learning about Next Day Blinds! Include a photo of the windows you want to cover for extra love. (Again, be sure to come back and leave comment with link)
Giveaway ends Friday, January 28 11:59pm ET. Giveaway is open to US residents 18 and over. Winner will be chosen using Random.org (it's the only fair way) and contacted through email so be sure to include a valid email in the comment form.
Good luck and I can't wait to hear what windows you want to treat!
Janine
Disclosure: I received a set of roman shades for the girls' room at no charge from Next Day Blinds in exchange for covering the in-home consultation and purchasing process on my blog. Leslie is THAT good as you can see in the video and I only edited the end slightly to shorten it by a few minutes. I am very impressed with the quality of the blinds which you will read about in later posts. All opinons are my own and this post was neither reviewed nor approved by Next Day Blinds prior to being published.
