Final Reveal with Next Day Blinds!
Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at 09:00AM First I met with the Next Day Blinds in-home design consultant.
Next she took me through their selection of window covering options that are safe for kids.
Now I get to show you the final product!
We chose fabric roman shades with a looped cord from Next Day Blinds
The looped cord means there is no loose-hanging cord that might be dangerous to young kids. It's a single, continuous cord tightly wound around an anchor that is attached to the edge of the window sill or wall.
The shades I chose are a thick fabric that are also light-blocking...to help The Twofer sleep in longer. And let me tell you, it's working! Because my windows aren't able to have the shades mounted inside the sill, designer Leslie made it a point to measuer a little wider than my windows to cut back on some of the light that spills out from the sides. Brilliant!
Roman shades are perfect for a girl's room
As my twins get older, they are going to want to redecorate their room with a more sophisticated look. Now they don't have to worry about their windows. The roman shades I chose fold up nicely and create their own unique valance when raised.
There were so many options I was thrilled to have the personal assistance of Leslie, a true professional and terrific designer, walk me through all the options. If you are looking for new window coverings and you are in the DC area be sure to use Next Day Blinds free designer service.
