What do you get when you stick 30 DC-area bloggers on a train with Hershey?
Monday, July 26, 2010 at 09:00AM How about the S’mores Roadtrip to Blogher….and one very grateful blogger because I’m one of the lucky ones riding the rails with them to the Blogher '10 conference in NYC this August!
First, let me take a minute to thank the lovelies who coordinated this here thang:
Amy, aka: ResourcefulMom whom you can find blogging here
Lara, aka: DiPaolamomma whom you can find blogging here
Hershey’s – the wonderful people behind the park, and the chocolate
Chocolate and NYC
I have no idea what they have in store but I’m letting my imagination run wild with chocolate and s’mores for breakfast. Both of those go nicely with coffee by the way, and I’ll need LOTS of it as it’s an early, early train to NYC. Also, there is a S’mores "Snacktivty suite at Blogher where I’m imagining a room transformed like Candy Land but with all chocolate. And if all that isn’t enough…apparently I’ll be getting some S’mores swag at home!
Grateful
Whatever all of this turns out to be I know one thing – I am grateful. I’m happy to work with Hershey’s to help them promote S’mores (a personal family fave you'll read about in upcoming posts) in exchange for everything I mentioned above. Who wouldn’t be?
I’m also grateful for the reminder to document my s’mores memories over the next few weeks. Which leads me to ask.... do YOU have any s’mores memories?
Maybe this will help you remember...

Leave me a comment with your favorite s’mores memory and I’ll pick one winner to get something S’mores related (I’ll update this post when I have a better idea of what that is).
Giveaway ends Thursday, August 12, 2010 (a week after Blogher) at 11:00 PM ET. Winner will be chosen by me because I like to read stories and because this contest isn’t sponsored. Open to US and Canadian residents 18 and over.
Can’t wait to hear your stories!
Janine
As part of the S’mores Road Trip to BlogHer I received a round trip ticket on Amtrak to the convention and Hershey branded items. Any views expressed in this post are my own.

My favorite Smores memory is sitting around a campfire at camp when I was a kid, and making smores. I would inevitably burn my marshmallows because I liked them pretty melted, but they always caught on fire! Oh wait, they still do that to me when I make smores! Classic, and delicious!
