Bendaroos might be exception to the "as seen on TV" rule
Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at 09:00AM UPDATE: winner is...Allison, aka: PeppermintAllie
Congrats!!

I have a rule in my house...
It always looks better on TV. That goes for toys, kitchen gagets, even celebrities.
And just like Ralphie in A Christmas Story, The Twofer have had to learn this lesson the hard way.
So many times they see commercials for gagets and toys that 'look so cool Mom!' Finally, after a number of infomercial failures they are starting to listen to the rule.
That is, until now.
Bendaroos are sticky fun without the mess
Bendaroos, those sticky, waxy sticks that you can wind and mush together are actually fun and spark creativity in kids...at least my kids.
So much fun, infact that the girls have spent several nights playing with them and....get this....a Saturday morning! Can you say 'sleep in'?
This is what I woke up to this weekend....
Twins quietly playing with Bendaroos on Saturday morning
Results: fire, flower, pineapple, watermelon
Bendaroos theme packs make great gifts
Want to give it a try but not invest in a whole Bendaroos collection? There are cool new theme packs with 100 or 200 Bendaroos so the investment is small but the creative reward is big. I received a Tropical Island pack to review and The Twofer started with the templates, but quickly started using their imagination to create figures, furniture, and then the got the wood blocks out to make a house for the Bendaroos family!
Tropical pack of Bendaroos = surprising fun
Even after a few days of playing, we still have lots of Bendaroos left but I'll consider buying more to take with us to the beach for a rainy day. Check out Bendaroos on Facebook for craft ideas, photos, and more.

I love that they allow the kids to be creative without making a big mess. My kids would have fun with these.
My first thought when I seen these on TV was they looked really neat! My daughters first thought was lets call NOW!!

Easy clean up, no mess, much better than play doh.
upon first seeing these I though, ok they are colored candle wicks. after trying them out I realized just what neat idea they are. the kids can play and craft with minimal clean up. we have only played with the neighbor's though, so winning a set would be wonderful. XD

My sone would love to play with these. I did the tweet but do not know how to leave a link. waylandcook on twitter.
My daughter really wants them...I had told her to me that they seem like they would be a bit on the greasy, waxy side. I would love to have her try them though and prove me wrong. lol.

At first thought, these looked like fun, but not something long-lasting. Your story proves me wrong. LOL they do look pretty enjoyable.

These look like so much fun!
My first thought was this is a great craft for the kids to use their imaginations. This would keep them happy and busy.

These look fun. My kids have played with Wiki Stix, and they seem to be pretty similar.
Wow, these look like so much fun. I love to do crafts with the kids and these would be perfect.

I'm late to the party but thought I'd mention that this was the first thing Julie saw on TV and wanted. She gave me $20 out of her piggy bank and I went online and ordered them. They arrived and were played with and are still played with. Furthermore, I find myself playing with them when I am on long, boring conference calls. Five thousand thumbs up for Bendaroos for DELIVERING!!!
