Nonstick pans without the chemicals - Scanpan has it
Monday, May 10, 2010 at 09:00AM
There was a time when I stopped using my nonstick pans altogether. I had read too many things about the chemicals used to make them slippers. And so I suffered with burnt eggs and raw hands as I scraped my regular pans with steel wool.
I did eventually go back to using my nonstick pans but not without reservation and worry. I'm thrilled to have found a nonstick pan that is certified PFOA and PFOS-free, is safe for the oven and....the dishwasher!
Scanpan nonstick cookware with Green Tek
The Scanpan nonstick cookware with Green Tek is not only beautiful, but cooks eggs with barely, if any butter and they slip right off the pan. The key to keeping these pans in top shape is to NOT use a cooking spray which can damage the nonstick element. But you CAN use any type of utensil on the surface and we did not see any scratches left when we used the metal spatula.
Scanpan cookware is made with pressure-case alumninum and ceramic titanium interiors that are slick, better for our food, better for my family, and better for my peace of mind.
