Giveaway: $25 SUBWAY Gift Cards for Fresh Fit Footlongs
Monday, February 8, 2010 at 09:00AM UPDATE - Winners of the $25 gift cards are Sarah and Ashley! Congratulations! ___________________________________________________________

Question: Do you consider SUBWAY fast food?
For me, they have done a really good job of branding themselves as a much healthier alternative to what I consider 'standard' fastfood like McDonald's, Burger King, even Chick-Fil-A.
On our regular trips up the NJTPKE (New Jersey Turnpike for you West Coasties) we SEEK out signs and exits with SUBWAY because we know we eat better there, we make better choices, and we feel better for the rest of the trip.
How did SUBWAY get me to think differently about them?
First, they offer fresh veggies, wheat bread, and they make the food right in front of you.
Then I got to interview Jared Fogle and Laila Ali at a SUBWAY event that showed kids things they can do to stay active and a program they developed for schools and rec centers to spread the word about making healthy choices.

The Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki looks real good. And since it is healthy eating you are allowed to a cookie (or two) for dessert:)
