Win a $50 Bank of America Gift Card When You Share Your Time-Saving Tips! (Winner!)

12/26/10 UPDATE:

According to Random.org the WINNER is Shelia who left this teriffic tip:

"My tip is to let the kids do alot of the decorating without stressing about perfection! See it through there eyes! I let my niece 7 and my son 11 decorate cupcakes for my daughters baby shower! a perfectionist would have had a stroke! lol... But we thought they were perfect looking through their eyes!!"

Congrats!!

Holiday Time-Saving Tips

I've been a Bank of America customer for years. I can easily check my account, schedule payments, and set up alerts all without ever having to leave my cozy warm home.

It is especially nice to NOT have to make a stop at the bank during the crazy holiday season. I've got enough stops to make that one more could throw off my whole day.

Speaking of not making another stop, did you know that Mapquest has a "route planner" where you can plug in your stops and it gives you the fastest route? And another tip: before you head out shopping, try and make sure that what you are off to buy is in stock.

Save Time with Bank of America

In addition to online banking, Bank of America offers...

Mobile Banking - download the secure app to locate ATMs, pay bills, even transfer money!

Deposit Image ATMs - how cool! You just insert your check into the ATM scanner (no envelope or deposit slip) and you get an image on your receipt as proof!

My tip is simply to buy sales, never pay for anything full price, and use coupons too of course!

I pretty much multitask everything. I even read the paper while I am waiting for pages to load while I am online shopping.

I save time by cooking ahead. I make larger portions of meals and freeze the extras. It makes it ease to come home and warm up a quick meal before heading back out to holiday obligations, or after a long day of shopping!

I do as much of my shopping online as possible. I try to stay in tune with the pricing variations of the items I'm interested in purchasing. So, when a great deal comes around, I can jump on it.

I do my Christmas shopping throughout the year. That way I can spend December doing other fun activities with my family!

I like to shop online to save time. I live in a small town so there aren't many places near by to shop for the Holiday.

I do as much pre-cooking as I can, like making mashed potatoes up to 2 wks ahead and freezing. The more I do ahead of time, the more time I get to enjoy my kids on Christmas instead of being in the kitchen.

I shop all during the year................wrap them up, put a name on them and keep a list w/names and write down what I got. I keep all these in a large storage container/tub until I get the tree up!

This year I am trying to save time by wrapping my gifts as soon as I bring them in from the store or as soon as they are delivered. Last year it seemed like I had to take an entire day just to wrap. Fun giveaway - thank you for the chance to win! :)

Shopping online saves me a lot of time and energy! I also simplify meals leading up to the holiday meals.

It takes forever to wrap presents, so I hire a neighbor's daughter to wrap them for me. Saves me tons of time and gives her a little more spending money for the holidays!
