#DisneySMMoms Question of the Day 11/17/10

For our twins 6th birthday we surprised them with a trip to Disney World, and specifically, Magic Kingdom. Disney was promoting the Free on Your Birthday that year and with twins we felt like we had hit the jackpot!

Not only did we have the Birthday bonus that year (you could choose a free entry fee, a gift card of that same value, or a Birthday Fast Pass) but the girls were greeted by lots of characters and even strangers wishing them a happy birthday!

Also, everyone seemed to know their name - then I realized, THAT was why Disney gave them a birthday button to wear.

This got me thinking about today's daily question.

QUESTION: Have you ever celebrated a special event at Disney and what special things happened?

Yes, hubby and I went on our honeymoon to Disney World. We did several special tours and they knew we were newlyweds and were amazing. Then in May 2009 we went for my son's 3rd birthday and mother's 60th. A truly magical experience. Now I wish we could do a Disney cruise for our 10th anniversary.

In 2009 we celebrated my son's 3rd birthday with dinner and birthday cake at 'Ohana. The next day my oldest son turned 24 and we celebrated with him all day at Magic Kingdom. Four days later (and one day before Walt's birthday), my eldest daughter turned 28. Her celebration of choice was to share a Kitchen Sink with us at Beaches and Cream restaurant. YUMMY!

That birthday bash trip was one of my most favorite Disney vacations.

I took T on a Disney Cruise for her 6th birthday. They gave her a cake and sung to her at dinner. It was very special!
