Talking Twins with Megyn Price of CBS 'Rules of Engagement'

The CBS show, "Rules of Engagement" cracks me up as it looks at marriage from different perspectives.
On a call with cast member, Megyn Price who playes Audrey, we got to chat about how the show tackles some tough topics like infertility, while still being funny. And now that Audrey will be dealing with the issue of surrogacy, we can only imagine how the writers might make this work.
As a mom of twins, I asked Megyn if she thought Audrey and Jeff were prepared for for multiples.
"I would say Audrey would have no clue what to do with multiples. I think that maybe they would go into the practical of one for you one for me. But then I feel that she would have too much fear that her child would be ruined by her husband. I don’t know."
And of course, having LIVED through the, one-for-you-one-for-me and the fear that The Mister would ruin one...I laughed.
"I mean people have said to me when you have twins, when you have multiple children you need to lower your standards. And I think that that would be an impossibility for Audrey. Like without total insanity."
Again, having LIVED through the insanity I can assure Megyn that Audrey would HAVE to lower her standards. i think any mom learns to pick her battles. We pick battles with two year olds, we pick battles with 22 year olds (well I haven't yet but I'm sure I will).
I then asked Megyn if she thinks her TV husband, Jeff (who is heeeelarious) will step up or, um, not.
"I think he would totally step-up and he would impart his logic in big fat quotation marks - “his logic. Which I would have to unravel at all times. So maybe the baby status wouldn’t be as fun because he’d be totally confused by this, you know, fish in diapers. ”
And that explains it all.
Fish in Diapers.
I'm totally stealing that!
Watch 'Rules of Engagement' tonight (Monday) at 8:30 ET on CBS and tell me what you think!
