Field Trip to the National Building Museum

OK, so everyone just LOOOOOVES to chaperone, right?

Well not only did I volunteer but I also volunteered The Mister to chaperone and we were both picked!

This field trip was to The National Building Museum and we had never been. The benefit of having twins and both of us along as chaperones is that this TOTALLY qualifies as a family trip into the city...right?

Hands-on project at The National Building Museum

It was a quick trip...sortof. The bus ride (yes, on a school bus) took an hour to get down there, but then it was a hands-on project, eat lunch, and hop back on the bus for the ride back!

Here's a Whrrl.com story I did so you can see the project the kids worked on for the morning. We did not get to see any of the exhibits so we might have to make another REAL family trip down there this winter to see what they have.

Also - The National Building Museum is on Twitter! http://twitter.com/BuildingMuseum

So make sure you follow them for updates and exhibit info.
